I've believed in this rumor until recently and wether it's true or not seems very difficult to prove reliably BUT I have done a big load of testing, as far as "testing" goes in this game. What I can say for sure is that with the second method my damage went sky high compared to the first, which was already incredible damage, but very spikey.
The test went something like this;
30% Base Crit on both hands
2x 50% Modifier, one on each hand = 60% Crit on both hands
Crit Damage Bonuses in the remaining slots
VERSUS; (almost the exact same mods were re-used)
33% Base Crit on right hand, 30% on left hand
4x 50% CCM on left hand, full cdb on right hand
totaling well over 100% crit chance on the main hand, and very close to 95% on the left hand.

wobei ich der Meinung bin, dass es "totaling well over 95% crit chance" heißen müsste, anstatt 100%
ich versuche bei meinem evo möglichst viel grundcrit auf beiden waffen zu haben und dann die hauptwaffe (rechts) mit cdb und die linke waffe mit ccm zu bestücken
ich bin jetzt lvl55r20 und molly auf hell liegt unter einer minute, allerdings ist meine waffenzusammenstellung nur auf demons abgezielt.....bei allen anderen rassen mache ich nicht so viel schaden
klar, habe ich auch auf diese rassen ccm und cdb, aber nicht so hoch wie auf demons
wie gesagt, leider gibt es keine offiziell bestätigte rechnung für den crit beim evoker, darum müssen wir wohl testen und uns auf solche guids wie den von syantha verlassen
